I guarantee the cost of medical attention for a bite is much higher than any pest control company charges. After the spider has immobilized the prey with its venom they then crush their prey with their teeth. They then spit up an enzyme from there stomach that will break up the tissue of their pray and the tissue will become a liquid food for the spider. The spider will then filter the food through its hair in the mouth and suck the food into the stomach. This is done by making an under pressure in the stomach by using the muscles around the stomach. If you store things in cardboard boxes be sure to tape up the edges so there is no way that a spider could get inside. Even though the funnel-web spiders are much more aggressive than the red-back spiders, their bites are not near as common because the funnel-web spiders are much bigger and so they are easy to see. Use care whenever you move items out of any storage areas.  Spiders like to hide under the folded flaps on cardboard boxes. Close your eyes and dress the spider up in stripy colored wellington boots. Imagine each of its eight legs is wearing a different rainbow colored boot. Once you’ve done this, see your spider up on a stage, lit up by a floodlight and tap dancing in its boots.

Use caution whenever you carry boxes as you could put your finger on a spider when you pick the box up. Some people wonder if funnel-web spiders can jump? No, they cannot jump. What they do is they back up when disturbed then they will bite you with a fast downward stroke. When they are provoked they may rush toward you aggressively, but they are not actually able to propel themselves up off the ground.

Use care not to press a spider next to your body when you carry any boxes. In a satisfied spider a very large part of the abdominal part of the body are made up of liquid food that is stored in the spider. The spider is because of this able to survive very long time without any food.
